CommentsBob I want to commend you for selecting such a great guy as the "ambassador" for your web site. John "The Sailing Swede" is my dad. Happy sailing and keep up the nice work on your site! Cheers, Anders (in Australia)
CommentsBob, Great idea and site! A network of Scanmar owners will definitely help all of us that are "offshore" from our boat's Swedish birthplace. Gordon Scanmar 35 "Candide"
CommentsGreat work, Bob! Now I'll have a website to refer back to after I sit with a cup of coffee each morning and watch for Scanmars come in and out of our harbour. Best wishes to you and your website in the coming New Year! ann marie

CommentsHi all. Searching the web for a scanmar for sale. Found your webpage and now Im of for US to look at a 35 footer. If everything turns out as I hope I will be heading towards Sweden next summer 2004. Anyone wanna join in?? Anyone having a nice site for sailgears in Florida? Best regards Bo Johansson Stockholm/Sweden
CommentsBo, good luck in your Scanmar-hunting! If you are going to see "Foxy Lady" in Florida, there is a West Marine right in town; they would have all your sailing gear needs. Their address is: 1388 West 15th Street, Panama City, FL 32401 PHONE: (850) 763-1844. "Foxy Lady" sounds like a great buy, especially as it has a new engine. I probably can help with crew from FL to Sweden; I know of at least 2 seasoned sailors willing and available to do the trip. Email me for details (click floating bottle at bottom of page). Bob Padlowski, webmaster.
CommentsGreat to see a Scanmar webpage! A few years ago I could not find any info regarding Scanmars. We are present owners of a '85 35cc, named slacker. She is presently located in Rock Hall, MD and for sale. Sailed her happily on Chesapeake for twelve years. More info? sail35south@aol.com

CommentsGreetings, My name is Peter Free. My 33 was purchased at Pelorus Marina in 1988. The boat is now in Chesapeake City, MD awaiting a new motor and a new rub rail. I am looking forward to finding a source for repairing the rub rail and some input about the motor replacement. Peter Free Wilmington, DE peterfree@comcast.net

CommentsI am looking at a Scanmar 33 in Hingham Ma. USA. The numbers look great. Has anyone raced this boat? Today was my first peak at the boat. My first and critical concern is the keel appears to be slanted to port. I'm aware this could be an illusion but I doubt it. Please enlighten me. Michael Cotton

CommentsCongratulations on an excellent website. I'm now actively on the hunt for a Scanmar 35. My only regret is the quality information you provide means I'll have to face some competition! Rick in Minneapolis
